BATON ROUGE, La. - The women's 4x100 relay team broke the program record with an NCAA-leading time of 42.37 at the LSU Invitational.
Julien Alfred, Rhasidat Adeleke, Kevona Davis and Kynnedy Flannel bested their previous best Texas and NCAA-lead (42.42) they set at the Texas Relays earlier this season.
The men's side finished fifth with a time of 39.30 ran by Daniel Garland, Marcellus Moore, Caleb Hulbin and Micaiah Harris.
Davis later followed with a personal-best time of 11.15 wind-aided to finish fifth in the 100m dash, the No. 16 time in the NCAA this season. Harris finished fourth in the open 100m dash with his wind-aided time of 10.11.
Alfred followed up in the 200m dash with the top collegiate time of the day at 22.68, the No. 8 time in the NCCA this year. Kennedy Simon also finished in the top-10 in fifth with her time of 22.98. Stacey Ann Williams finished eighth at 23.09.
Jonathan Jones won the 400m dash with his time of 44.79 seconds, the second-fastest collegiate time this season. He finished .37 seconds faster than the next collegian. Brian Herron finished with a time of 46.30. Jones' time ranks as the No. 3 time recorded in Texas history and now holds the five fastest times ever ran by a Texas athlete.
Texas women swept the relays after winning the 4x400 with a stadium record time of 3:25.64 ran by Williams, Adeleke, Alfred and Simon. The men's team finished second with a time of 3:03.01 from Gabriele Montefalcone, Jones, Harris and Herron.
Tyra Gittens claimed another high jump win as a Longhorn, clearing 1.86m. Marleen Guerrero finished just behind at 1.77m. Olivia Buntin finished tied for second in the women's pole vault with a personal-best mark of 4.16m, while Warren Miller won his second-straight event clearing 5.26m.
Kristine Blazevica also recorded a personal-best in the long jump with a jump of 6.38m to finish fifth and Ackelia Smith finished seventh at 6.27m. Jathan Belaire won the men's long jump with a mark of 7.61m.
Chrystal Herpin moved into the No. 2 spot on the Texas all-time list in discus with a winning throw of 55.66m.
Charles Brockman ran a season-best time of 50.18, the No. 18 time in the NCAA, in the 400m hurdles to finish third overall, but top collegian.
Tripp Piperi won the men's shot put and threw for 21.21m to win his fourth-straight shot put event this outdoor season. He has now thrown over 21 meters for nine-straight meets.
