A senior from Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, Giovinazzo completed the 800m in a time of 2:08.60 to finish fourth in the event. He just narrowly bested his preview PR-time of 2:08.69 set at the 2022 Metropolitan Championships last Saturday.
Aiden Willey and Zachary Kohner ran for the Pride in the Mile, with Willey crossing the finish line in a time of 4:45.56 and Kohner clocking in at 6:01.35. Nayan Chatterjee represented Hofstra in the 100m dash finals and the 200m dash. Chatterjee qualified for the 100m dash final after running a time of 12.40 in the first preliminary heat for the fifth-fastest time in the prelims, then finished fifth in the final with a time of 12.37. He then ran in the 200m dash and crossed the finish line with a time of 24.52.
Prior to the day's events, Hofstra honored graduating seniors Andrew Giovinazzo, Gavin Jones, and Danny Pires.
Hofstra's next competition is the Virginia Challenge, hosted by the University of Virginia, on April 22 from Charlottesville, Virginia.
